3D-LightTrans kick-off

The European 3D-LightTrans (Large scale manufacturing technology for high-performance lightweight 3D multifunctional composites) is launched under the NMP Programm within the 7th Framework Programm. Eighteen participants from eight different European countries join efforts in this project with four years duration, aiming to develop novel promising research level approaches to a stage of industrial maturity within an integrated low-cost mass manufacturing chain for textile reinforced composite products. More than 30 participants attended the kick-off meeting in Vienna on 7-8 April, where the first steps were defined and key aspects in the organization of the further work of the project were discussed.
